Why do only "old" cities have good public transit systems?

Well............it seems that I am unable to top any of these replies. They've said it all and it's the truth. I, personally am welded to my 2 vehicles. Never leave home without one of them. A true Californian who loves his pickups and cars. I even drive up to the corner store that is probably less than 500 feet away. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
