Guitar players! set up question?

i have a fender mexican strat with a marshall 100w combo amp. I recently replaced the pickups in my strat with the texas specials, but i can't seem to find the sound i'm looking for. i'm not 100% the pickups are at the correct heights, im looking for a fat tone but everything just seems so blah. any suggestions? settings wise?
