I am hearing good and bad things about Invisalign. A survey says 83% like it but 17 dont. Does it work?

I have had 3 consultations with orthos and my case is simple and should take about 5 months. Anyone had it and like it? I dont like the idea of filing down between my teeth to straighten them in front? They say it is only the thickness of a ;piece of paper but still I dont know if I like the idea of it. Thanks
